On the eve of the 21st Annual Reel Pride Film Festival, we offer this glimpse into the past, with the original program from the very first film festival… (click on the images to enlarge to full size)…Courtesy Peter Robertson…

The inaugural Reel Pride film festival was produced by the GLBSA, a student club at Fresno State, now known as United Student Pride. The 1990 film festival featured 12 international films (and videos) from six countries shown throughout five days. It was the brainchild of Ken Fries, who was a student here at the time. He picked the movies and arranged the rentals, I booked the rooms and raised some much-needed funds. Together, with a great team of club leadership and advisors, the first film festival was a success.

Peace and pride, Peter Robertson
