Fresno Family Counseling Center in partnership with Fresno State is currently screening participants for the following groups:
-12 week gay men’s group for ages 18 and over. Meets weekly, hour and a half sessions.
-12 week lesbian’s group for ages 18 and over. Meets weekly for hour and a half sessions.
Groups will focus on identity and group membership within the LGBT community and the need for connection, alliances, and pride for a healthy self-concept. The groups will address the following themes: internalized hompphobia, coming out, gay myths, body image, relationships and friendships, dating, sex and healthy boundaries, self-esteem, grief and loss, communication and obstacles in connecting with others, and creating community and building resources.
$20 first session/$10 dollars each session afterwards.
