Have you ever wanted to roll up your sleeves to help defeat some of the most vile, anti-gay bigots in the nation? Are you interested in participating in a once in a lifetime experience during the 2008 election year? There is so much at stake in 2008. Voters will choose a new president, one-third of the U.S. Senate, all U.S. House members, and thousands of state legislators. GLBT equality must be a top priority.
We need you to consider making a deeper commitment than you ever have before. We’re launching two great programs for people who want to help elect fair-minded officials and pass pro-equality legislation. And ALL levels of experience are welcome.
These programs are an amazing opportunity for supporters of equality to create real change, in their own backyards and across the country. Success in 2008 means the opportunity for us to pass pro-equality legislation in Congress and in state capitols across the country. From the statehouse to the White House, we have an opportunity to elect a new generation of elected officials who support equality for all Americans. Join HRC as we get ready for one of the most important elections ever.

HRC’s 2008 Campaign College, open to anyone ages 18-24, is an intensive one-week training to be held August 11-17, 2008 in Washington D.C. You’ll meet great people, learn how a political campaign works, and then get a three-month placement in a full-time position on a political campaign from August 18 to November 4, 2008.
This experience will help you master a key set of field organizing skills, including how to plan a winning political campaign, handle the media, and raise funds for the campaign.
