Fresno AIDS Walk is an HIV/AIDS awareness and fundraising event that will pay homage to those affected by the disease and remember those we have lost. All proceeds will benefit Fresno’s only HIV/AIDS social support center: The Living Room, a project of WestCare California Inc.
We welcome walkers and runners of all ages, and we encourage you to create teams of 2 or more to truly rally support for this event. This year’s event will feature a 5K run.
Although it is FREE to walk and run, we encourage you to raise funds for this very worth cause:
- If you are a registered participant, it’s never too early or too late to secure donations in support of AIDS Walk! Donors can contribute online by clicking HERE for our secure PayPal page.
- Supporter checks should be made payable to ‘WestCare California.’ Please add The Living Room OR Fresno AIDS Walk in the ‘for’ line
- Checks should be accompanied by a Donation Form (link to donation form on website) with the participant name on it. To guarantee proper attribution, the walker name should also be noted on the check’s memo line.
- Checks should be sent to PO Box 12107, Fresno, CA 93776, ATTN: The Living Room. Please do not send cash by mail.

A.Event Location
Fresno AIDS Walk will begin & end at the Park View shelter of Woodward Park in Fresno. Please enter the main entrance on Audubon Drive.

B.Event Schedule
Fresno AIDS Walk 2015 will take place the morning of Saturday, October 17th.
Same-day registration begins 9:00 am
AIDS Walk begins 11:00 am

C.Donations
This will be a free event that is open for the public to come, walk as individuals or a team, and show their support. However, we strongly encourage everyone interested to donate and/or raise donations from outside sources. Please see fundraising tips in the tools section for more information.
D.Parking
Please note that although the event itself is free (with donations appreciated and strongly encouraged), there is a $5 per vehicle charge to park in Woodward Park. Remember to carpool!
E.Awards
We are proud to honor individuals and teams for going above and beyond in raising support! There will be a plaque for the highest grossing team, largest team and highest grossing individual. These will be awarded based off the current numbers calculated as of 11:59pm on Friday, October 16th.
F. Tshirts
Since there is no registration fee, event T-Shirts will not be handed out to those that register. But, they will be awarded to everyone that personally raises $20 or more. A limit of 1 T-shirt will be awarded to each person. This same T-Shirt will also be on sale the day of the event for those who would like to purchase more.
