The Fresno Fire Department confirmed at a press conference on January 9th, that the September 2005 fire that heavily damaged the North Tower Circle nightclub was deliberately set.
The fire department had previously classified the fire at the North Tower Circle as "suspicious" in origin, but recently determined it was in fact arson.
Deputy Fire Marshal Don MacAlpine said that investigators are looking for a white pickup truck photographed leaving the area of one of the fires.
MacAlpine also said investigators believe the same person set fires at the closed Dance nightclub, two blocks north of the Circle, at a bail bond office on Wishon one block from the Circle and at a residence nearby on Simpson Avenue.
