Fresno GLBTQ Youth Alliance
The Fresno Youth Alliance is a social peer support group that offers a safe space for the under 21 years of age Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning and Allied Youth community.
Our LGBTQ+ youth group meets weekly and hosts various events throughout the year, giving LGBTQ+ young people the opportunity to socialize with one another, develop supportive friendships and be part of a community who understands, accepts and celebrates them for who they are! We talk about everything…family, friends, relationships, school, work…you name it! We also discuss what it means to be part of the Queer (LGBTQ+) Community and share our experiences so we can learn from and support one another.
We meet just about every Friday night of the year minus a few close to the holidays at First Congregational Church (a.k.a. “The Big Red Church”)…but don’t worry – it’s not a bible youth group (in case you were wondering) – we just rent the space from the church. The environment is cozy, cool and kick-back…and you should really think about joining us if you haven’t already! We’re a great group and are always happy to welcome someone new!
The Youth Alliance is a project of Community Link, a nonprofit community service agency that has been providing services to the LGBTQ+ community since 1988. Meetings and events of the Youth Alliance are facilitated and supervised by trained professionals specializing is addressing the needs of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Queer, Questioning and Allied youth.
