DOJ Asks For Immediate Stay Over DADT

Well, not much of a shocker, but the Dept. of Justice has requested an immediate stay to U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips ruling that Don’t Ask Don’t Tell should be ended. If the judge does not grant the stay then it’s expected to be appealed to the US Court of Appeals.

The Dept of Justice had a choice in fighting the ruling, and they chose to fight. The irony is that even today, the Obama administration admitted their support of repealing DADT, but said they want it to be done legislatively.
