Community mourns the passing of Christoper Lynn
His family reported him missing Monday night after he called his sister for a ride and the call was abruptly ended and she was unable to reach him back. The search for Christopher Lynn ended at a ponding basin in northwest Fresno. His family said they found some of his belongings on the bank of the basin. So they called Fresno police, who searched the basin, his body was discovered, submerged under the water.
Fresno police are not yet ruling this a homicide but have commented it is suspecious. Anyone with information is urged to call Fresno Police or Crime Stoppers at 559-498-STOP.
Chris was engaged to be married to Mikey and they made the following video public from their engagement back in April:
The family has setup a GoFundMe to cover funeral costs and a fundrasier is happening on Tuesday, January 19th at Club Legends:
Update 1/14 at 3PM: An autopsy determined he died from drowning. However, the manner of his death is still pending. Investigators say there were no signs of trauma. They are still waiting for the results of a toxicology test.
A note from the family: I just received a message from someone saying that people were asking for donations for Christopher Lynn and had a picture in the Chestnut and Kings Canyon area today. The only donations acct set up is gofundme and a fundraiser being held at Legends. Please do not give to anything else…
