WHEN: Thursday, April 14:: 3 p.m. EST
WHO: Special Guest: Andrew McIntosh, SUNY Oneonta Lacrosse Captain & OUT Magazine’s Out 100 List
Moderated by Shane Windmeyer, Campus Pride

Andrew McIntosh played lacrosse for the State University of New York College at Oneonta. While he played lacrosse, he was also captain of his lacrosse team and a vibrant student leader on campus. Andrew will share insight into the locker room environment, competing on the field in a team sport — all the while being out publicly on campus. His coming out story was first published on OutSports in Feb 2010 and has been featured by The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Advocate. Andrew was also named into the Out 100 by OUT Magazine for his major impact on mainstream culture and the LGBT community. This webinar provides a story of resiliency that delves into topics such as sport sociology, sport psychology and humanities. Participants will be given authentic insight on being openly gay while participating in intercollegiate athletics. The webinar will answer questions firsthand from Andrew on how to create change within intercollegiate athletics on their campus.
