The Living Room a project of WestCare California is dedicated to encouraging and supporting the well-being and empowerment of persons infected affected and at risk for HIV/AIDS. The Living Room’s many programs focus on improving the quality and availability of HIV-specific services for all residents of Fresno County nServices and Scope:nThe Living Room is a social support center that provides a wide range of direct and indirect services for persons infected affected and at risk for HIV/AIDS. These services include case management client advocacy hot meals the Drop-in Center housing rapid testing for HIV and Hepatitis C and social support groups. The Living Room staff provide supportive networks fellowship information education and referrals to those infected affected and at risk for HIV/AIDS. All services are confidential. The Living Room advocates client empowerment and well-being through the development of high self-esteem based on positive attitude positive support and positive living. The Living Room services are designed to assist clients within the Central Valley to allow them to live healthy and productive lives. In addition The Living Room collaborates with all providers of HIV/AIDS services in Fresno County including but not limited to University Medical Center Special Services Department Fresno County Department of Public Health Planned Parenthood Mar Monte. Such collaborative efforts allow for the provision of more effective services to those in need within the community.
