The House of Representatives overwhelmingly voted to repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, with the tally being 250 for repeal and 175 against. This is half the battle, however, and a vote must be taken and won in the Senate for the repeal to take place.
Some are assuring the public that a vote in the Senate will take place before the end of the year, however conservative Republicans are also stating there are more important issues to tackle. If the Senate doesn’t vote on repeal before the end of the year, the battle becomes even more difficult, as more Republicans move into Senate seats after the new year.
