On the Joy Behar show, Dan Savage and Jim McGreevey discuss religion and morality as it pertain to the LGBT community in America.
McGreevey is the former Governor of New Jersey. In 2004, at the pathetically overripe age of 47, he announced to the world that he was gay. This, despite that he was married to a woman, his second marriage to the opposite sex. Still, he admitted his true self at a national press conference. Why? Because the media caught him.
They’d reported he’d had an affair with a man (who he’d appointed to public office) while still married to a woman he’d fathered a child with (and who had no idea McGreevey was gay).
Since then McGreevey has proclaimed himself loud and proud. He’s been heralded by LGBT organizations as the example of living an honest life. Really?
How proud McGreevey must be. What’s he doing now, in his new life? He’s working towards a Masters Degree in Divinity, with the goal of becoming a priest. He’s so strong that he’s trading one fantasy for another. Although it’s one far more respectable, and one where he has access to young boys…
